Job Requirements
As a Business Controller at Marktlink Capital, you play a key role in the continued growth and professionalization of the organization. The role is forward-looking and focuses on understanding and steering the key performance drivers of the business.

You operate at the intersection of finance, data, and strategy and work closely with partners, shareholders, the CFO, and the management team. You translate data into insights and insights into concrete actions, with a direct impact on commercial performance and decision-making.

This is not a traditional controlling role, but a role for someone who gains energy from building, improving, and thinking ahead in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

You are responsible for further developing forecasting and performance management within Marktlink Capital, including budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario analyses. In doing so, you continuously focus on the underlying drivers of revenue, profitability, and growth.

Your responsibilities:

• Create insight into performance per product group (PE & VC fund-of-funds, Private Credit, and feeders), including revenue, margin, and cost drivers

• Identify the key drivers behind monthly reporting and translate them into concrete management insights

• Work closely with partners, shareholders, and the CFO and act as a sparring partner at a senior level

• Actively contribute to international growth trajectories and M&A activities, including analysis and integration of acquisitions

• Develop dashboards and analyses using Excel, Power BI, and queries/SQL, and contribute to building the data warehouse

• Contribute to forward-looking reporting (including AIFMD) and develop affinity with a regulated environment

• Look beyond the P&L to also focus on cash flow, working capital, and future financing structures

Your profile
You hold a completed master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a similar field and bring approximately 4–7+ years of relevant experience in, for example, FP&A, business control, or performance management.

You combine strong analytical skills with well-developed conceptual thinking and are able to translate data into real business insights. You understand not only the numbers, but also the underlying drivers and how to steer them.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following:

• Experience with forecasting, commercial steering, and management reporting

• Strong Excel skills; experience with Power BI and SQL is a clear plus

• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-growing environment

• Proactive, independent, and able to take ownership of complex challenges

• Strong communication skills and a solid sparring partner for both Finance and the business

• Affinity with a regulated environment (AIFMD/DNB/AFM) is not required but is a plus
