We are growing fast and are building a professional, scalable and increasingly automated fund accounting organisation. That is why we are looking for an accurate and software-minded GL Accountant Funds. Someone to join our fund accounting team and help further professionalise our fund administration.

The role

As GL Accountant Funds, you will be responsible for the general ledger administration of our funds. You will ensure that financial transactions are processed accurately, completely and on time. Also making sure that our administration is aligned with internal controls, reporting requirements and audit standards.

This is not a traditional bookkeeping role. General ledger accounting within funds is a specialist craft. You will work with fund structures, investor flows, capital calls, distributions, management fees, reconciliations and reporting processes. You will do this in a tech-enabled environment where systems, data and automation play an increasingly important role.

This means you will join at an important moment. You will not only work within an existing administration, but actively help build, improve and scale our fund accounting operations.

Your profile

You are a bookkeeper or accountant that also brings in some software knowledge. You understand that fund accounting is not just about processing entries, but also about structure, data quality, process control and system setup.

You are accurate, analytical and enjoy working in an environment where a lot is still being built. You do not need to have done everything exactly like this before, but you do bring relevant experience with fund accounting software or the desire to learn on the job.

You also bring:

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or a related field.

• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, fund accounting, asset management, private equity, fund administration or a similar financial environment.

• At least 2 to 3 years of experience with FIS Private Capital Suite, formerly Investran, or similar software, is a strong plus.

• Experience with general ledger administration, reconciliations and periodic closing processes.

• Knowledge of fund accounting principles, capital calls, distributions and NAV processes is a strong plus.

• An interest in automation, data and tech-enabled finance processes.

• Good communication skills when working with internal and external stakeholders.
